Car insurance application

Several insurance companies give us the facility to insure our cars. There are several profitable schemes and we can go over to those respective companies and select a car insurance scheme that matches with our objectives. Which car insurance company we go, they would usually ask us to fill out a car insurance application. This car insurance application contains several details and the customer is expected to fill them out as truly as possible. Let us now explore the various fields of the car insurance application.

The first field is the name of the customer. Here, the customer is expected to mention his full name with initials for verification purposes. This is followed by all sorts of personal details. The personal details include the address, age, and phone numbers for contact purposes and so on. The city from which the customer hails is also prompted for and it must also be mentioned. Additional information such as fax or email ids can also be mentioned provided the customer has any of the following.

Next comes the details of the vehicle. The model name of the vehicle and its model number are clearly asked for in the car insurance application. This info are very much important considering the fact that the customer is aiming for a car insurance for his own vehicle. After furnishing these details, the rate of the vehicle when purchased and the current rate of the vehicle are also mentioned keeping in mind the current rates.

Now, it is the turn of the driver. The driver’s info must be specified now. Again, it need not be purely necessary that the owner of the car has to be the driver of that car too. If the driver of the vehicle is different from the owner, then info regarding the driver is mentioned such as his personal details and so on. If there are multiple drivers, then there are several columns available for the applicant to clearly mention about each and every driver. The relation of the driver to the applicant is also sought for in the car insurance application. The license number of the driver should also be specified.

There are extra important questions like whether the vehicle has been involved in an accident before. If so, the nature of the accident should also be mentioned. If the driver has been involved in a drunken driving case or a drug usage case, then it should also be mentioned in the application where it is prompted for.

If the insurance for that particular vehicle has already been cancelled by a previous insurance agency, then it should also be specified clearly in the application. In this case, the reason for the cancellation of the insurance should be specified in the application. Necessary space would be provided in the application for these details to be specified clearly.

Finally, the applicant needs to put a sign in the tail end of the application and thereby accepts that the details published are all true to his knowledge.
